Augsburg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Augsburg is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

I want to write a review for this Arverio train. Why is there such a huge difference between 1st class and 2nd class? In 2nd class, people can't even get a seat and are forced to stand. It feels like the AC isn't even turned on, and everyone is sweating profusely. The ticket inspector was extremely rude. They aggressively chased away people who mistakenly sat in 1st class, not even sparing the elderly who couldn't find seats due to the severe overcrowding. There was absolutely no one sitting in 1st class—what would the train company lose by making an exception and letting a few people sit there? This was the situation on the 5:36 RB87 train from Munich to Augsburg. The ticket inspector's behavior was very rude and completely unacceptable.

This one is even worser than Deutsche Bahn. Absolute trash. Incompetent drivers, constant delays and cancelled trips. You need to plan at least half an hour of spare time for your connections.

Deutsche Bahn has earned itself a certain reputation in recent years. Averio Bayern surpasses this by far. To put it mildly, the service is beyond disastrous and absolutely catastrophic.

I took the train today from Munich Hbf to Memmingen and paid €32 for a ticket. The journey was supposed to take 1 hour and 20 minutes, but it was delayed, making it even longer. On top of that, there were no available seats, so I had to stand the entire time. For the price I paid, I expected a much better experience. Very disappointing.

Today we traveled from Steinach to Treuchtlingen. Our train driver, Christian Kusberger, was incredibly helpful and kind. We truly appreciated his sincerity and kindness!
