Cars in Germany need the main inspection (Hauptuntersuchung, by TÜV or DEKRA) every two years, and a workshop that handles it for you is worth keeping in your contacts. Ask for an itemised estimate before work starts, check whether the price includes labour and VAT, and ask whether original or aftermarket parts are used. A Vertragswerkstatt costs more than an independent workshop but keeps the manufacturer's warranty intact, and winter tyres are required whenever conditions are wintry.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

Pay ahead is convenient but does not guarantee a spot. Fairly clean restrooms on every level near the stairs. Some had piles of garbage outside the restrooms. Pay machines caused seemed to cause issues. Entry and exit was three lanes that was funneled into one lane before and after exit. Very difficult to merge into Werner Allee. Lots of people stand in or at edge of Werner Allee. They are waiting for rides that only adds to congestion and stau. Worst is the right lane between Hans Jensen Weg and Maria Goeppert Mayer Str. That is what causes the stau on exit as well as the loss of the right lane. Taxi nightmare. Also the garage is under construction and does not seemed finished. Bau fencing piles of gravel no machines or visible workin progress. Very narrow lanes on ramps and turns. Some drivers cut though the parking that causes more chaos. There is no traffic control lighting or indicators showing spot vacancies. There was some personnel that assisted parking on entry but they were not coordinated. This garage is an embarrassment for the civil engineering profession.

You have a problem there. You cannot build a parking for 10’000 cars and then you only have 3 exit gates. Quick maths, it doesn’t work.

Over an hour after the match ended, we're still stuck in trying to leave the parking lot. The organization of the exit is extremely poor and needs urgent improvement.

Easy in. Long time to get out. Price acceptable. But had to get an arena card just for the Privilege? Not a fan of that (especially as I’m an away fan it’s a waste of plastic)
