Salons, spas and fitness studios in Germany are best booked ahead, especially for evenings and Saturdays, and most now take bookings online or through WhatsApp as well as by phone. Agree the service and the price before you start, note that many salons close on Mondays, and tip 5-10% in cash if you are happy. Gyms usually ask for a 12- or 24-month contract, with the monthly rate falling the longer you sign up for, so read the cancellation clause.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

Unfortunately, my experience at this gym has been very disappointing. I felt repeatedly disrespected and discriminated against by the branch manager, and several interactions were, in my view, inappropriate and unprofessional. In addition, I raised concerns about hygiene and safety issues within the facility. Rather than addressing these concerns constructively, my feedback was not taken seriously, and the situation became increasingly unpleasant. A gym should be a place where members feel welcome, respected, and safe. Based on my experience, I did not feel that these standards were met. As a result, I have decided to terminate my membership and cannot recommend this location.

Be careful against to the thieves! My thermos has been stolen in the middle of day in the changing room on Monday! I had just left it on the bench for 15 minutes! Today I asked for assistance about the lost personal item, but the staff were dismissive and unhelpful. While we were speaking in English, they switched to German and said to each other “let’s buy a new one and get rid of it” and laughed! The tone and attitude were unprofessional and not respectful.

The new all inclusive Gym is terrible. I wish they will bring back the old equipment it was before it changed to all Inclusive Fitness. The equipment is brand new but it makes noise like it is fully rusted and it already broke. The locker where I put my clothes got stuck and I struggled 10 minutes to open it, missing my bus and Sbahn... Even though this gym is closest to me, I would rather go to the studios that remained under FitStar brand
