München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Unfortunately, the instructor is not a native speaker, which was unexpected. The teacher’s accent is quite heavy, making it difficult to follow the lessons. We were expecting a native speaker for this course to ensure the best learning experience.

I took two German courses at this academy, and my experience has been very positive. The teachers are supportive and genuinely care about our learning progress. The classes are engaging, with discussions and interactive activities that encourage participation. Even at beginner level, students are encouraged to speak and use German as much as possible, which helps build confidence. I highly recommend Alinguas :)

A well-structured course led by Bastian, a skilled and very approachable teacher. The classroom is practical and the support is excellent! Highly recommended!

I completed two course levels at Alinguas mainly because the location is very convenient for me. Unfortunately, my overall experience was disappointing. The main issue was the teaching quality, which I believe reflects more on the school’s hiring and support than on the teacher personally. Our teacher was friendly and clearly trying her best, but she was not a native German speaker and sometimes struggled to answer basic questions during class (for example about the gender of nouns), which occasionally required checking online. This suggests the school should consider hiring more qualified instructors or providing better guidance and training. The structure of the lessons could also be improved. A large portion of class time (sometimes close to an hour) was spent reviewing homework exercises, which often felt inefficient. After a three-hour class, it sometimes felt like the core material could have been covered much more effectively. In addition, the school’s organization was sometimes confusing (for example unclear course start dates and payment timing), and there was very little flexibility for missed classes or joining remotely.

Good institution I didn’t take a course I came to take an exam. One thing that I didn’t like was when in the exam for B2 where we had to prepare for the oral exam and given materials to read with a small amount of time the other exam candidate was breathing very heavy and making lots of noise that was very distracting and not letting me concentrate, and the examiner saw I was clearly uncomfortable but didn’t do anything and therefore my performance for the oral exam was heavily affected
