Berlin is in the state of Berlin, the capital and largest city of Germany; summers are warm, winters grey and cold with occasional snow, and the dense U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus network puts most businesses within a few minutes' walk of a stop. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Good evening, I am shocked by today’s situation with your staff. The approximate time was 17:55–18:00. I wanted to buy cat litter but couldn’t find a price tag. I asked an employee who was standing in the aisle. She was talking to a woman and a small girl. She was clearly not helping customers or working with products on the shelves, otherwise I would have waited. When I spoke to her in English, she replied in German that she was talking to people. I explained that I couldn’t find the price tag, but she again responded in German in an annoyed tone, pointing toward the products. I was very surprised by this behavior. She didn’t want to walk with me to the shelf to simply do her job. She seemed irritated, but eventually went and showed me the price tag, which was placed above, not below. This is her job, and I told her that customers should come first, before talking to friends or acquaintances. She didn’t understand again and said that this is Germany and I should speak German. Then she left me while still talking. This level of rudeness is unacceptable. I replied that she lives in Berlin and should know English. It’s the capital city with many tourists and residents who don’t learn
