Eating out in Germany runs from a quick Döner at an Imbiss to a long evening in a Gasthaus, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. Lunch menus (Mittagstisch) are usually the best value, menu prices already include 19% VAT and service, and many kitchens close between lunch and dinner. Nürnberg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Located in the pedestrian area right opposite Nürnberg Central Station, 60's Smash Burger has a very convenient location. Unfortunately, the burgers were quite disappointing: small, lacking flavor, and not particularly satisfying. There is not much to say about the food itself. The main positive point is definitely the opening hours, which are convenient if you are looking for something to eat at unusual times. Overall, an average experience.

Must visit place run by two very kind guys who also take orders in english. 60’s double was perfect. Crispy but not dry, well thought combination of ingredients. Fries were crispy and coleslaw had perfectly balanced taste and just right amount of dresing.

Great Burgers, Fries and Shake. Restaurant was clean and service fast. Definitely a level above other similar places.

I expected more considering the reviews. The burger was fine but nothing special in my opinion. And fries are very thin, again nothing special. The coleslaw was really too saucy, it was more sauce than coleslaw. Prices are okay.

Ordered the 60’s burger. I was surprised with the size of the meat. The meat was seasoned and slightly juicy, and the flavour contrasted nicely with the special sauce and the caramelised onions. Good service too.
