Berlin is in the state of Berlin, the capital and largest city of Germany; summers are warm, winters grey and cold with occasional snow, and the dense U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus network puts most businesses within a few minutes' walk of a stop. Getting around Berlin is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Berlin and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

It was the worst one and half year of my life to deal with this driving school. I don't know where to start tbh. Firstly, I kept waiting for months to be assigned a driving instructor and by the time they did it was not enough time to complete classes and they charged another year in my contract. I had to go through mails and round trips with customer service and finally was able to reduce the additional charge of one year. The instructor they assigned me was actually in another location and in first class told me that he is leaving the company. He seemed really nice and probably would be a nice instructor but to my bad luck I was again unassigned. I then again had to ask for an instructor. This time it was Sami. I do not want to comment how he is but my experience was very very bad. I am paying money for the classes, to learn and to pass exam, not to be insulted and humiliated. I also had no choice to change the instructor as I spoke little german and just wanted to it get it done fast. He would cancel classes last minute even before my practical exam. He would talk on the phone on loudspeaker, he would be on his phone watching videos, he even slept once while I was driving. I le

The whole process of getting my license through the school took more than two years, though I wouldn't say fully their fault. At first I was to take my test via Dekra but it took very long to get an appointment. When I finally got it, the driving instructor brought me to the wrong place on the date so I missed the test. Unfortunately 18 months had already lapsed before they could find another appointment for me and had to restart the entire process and pay additional fees. I had to study and take the theory exam again before they could again book me for the practical test. Thankfully this time they recommended I take the exam with TÜV instead and was able to get an appointment relatively more quickly. To the school's credit, they refunded me all additional expenses I incurred due to their mistake, except for additional lessons I had to book for a refresh before the exam. Big shout out to Fatma who I coordinated with and was always very helpful with my questions and concerns over WhatsApp.

It's a genuine shame that I have to leave a not-so-positive review for this driving school, as things started out really great at first. I came in with good expectations, given the stellar ratings on here. Firstly, the app and theory practice simulations were quite fantastic. I was able to learn at my own pace, and the exam questions were (mostly) translated into English to allow me to easily comprehend the concepts. It was a fun way to learn the road rules, and I enjoyed the way it gamified the experience. The theory lessons were also a really convenient experience, but note however that now I believe you are required to attend in person. I was able to attend classes at home via Zoom at the time, without the need to travel across the city. The lessons were all in German, but reading material was provided which I could translate myself and follow along. Everything was going great at this point, so I was satisfied, despite the higher-than-average costs compared to most schools. One of the major reasons I chose this school over any others, despite living on the opposite side of Berlin, was all the positive accounts on Google reviews about their English-friendliness. The issue was,

Am grateful to the whole fraternity of Glowalla fahrschule.Today 23rd December 2020 i got my driving license under a very good, patient, knowledgeable trainer by the name czeour. It is my great pressure to recommend everyone who is interested in getting high driving skills to train here. The hospitality in this school is very good, quality skills and very encouraging instructors. Long live my instructor, long live Glowalla the place to learn well and faster. I appreciate the great work of secretaries who cooperated very well with my working schedule. Thanks so much all. More blessings.
