The first place that asked us to store even small bags!!!! We've been to lots of German palaces and it never happened! How can you ask people to leave all they have in lockers?! And what for?! Another minus: even though they have a sign for cards, they only take cash. Really tourist unfriendly place :(

medieval castle/residence. it received multiple changes through years and a lot if baroque touch to its architecture. its the seat residence of Coburg-Saxony dukes. Napoleonic influence has its touch too. no photos allowed inside but its really impressive especially the Giants dancing hall and the throne room.

A wonderful palace to visit in Coburg. Yours only in German but you can still enjoy the palace and the rooms

One of the most beautiful historical monuments that you can enjoy, there is a wonderful museum and a very interesting view for photographers from above the castle

Absolutely gorgeous . . . but I can't quite give the experience 5 stars because of two reasons: #1 no pictures are allowed inside. #2 the tour guide was not very animated and it even though he had lots of facts, it came across as if he read a script. But the rooms really are beautiful and the price is reasonable.
