We ordered Toro Sashimi 28€, but what served is Tuna Sashimi 20€. If you are not a Toro lover, you can’t tell the difference. I questioned the dish and there’s just a light sorry. we have to wait another 10 mins for the Toro. We’ve been here for several times, today is really disappointed.

A must visit Japanese Restaurant in Cologne! The ambience of the restaurant is very nice, the service is top-notch and the food and drinks are amazing good!! You can taste the freshness and the high quality of the sushi and the ingredients they use and it is also presented very beautifully in the plate! 😍 We were 4 adults and 4 kids and we got a nice long table nearby the window. It is located in the main road so it is very easy to find. To find a parking might a bit tricky, but there are few parking building located nearby (7 min walking), if you cannot find parking in the street. This is our first time visiting Kaizen and will definitely come back when we are back in Cologne! Try also their cocktail and dessert! Very good! ❤️❤️ Oh.. and the co-owner was also very friendly, informative and making sure that we all have a good dining experience there..Thank you!! 😊

Kaizen is hands down the best sushi spot in Cologne. Every time I visit the city, it’s my first stop. The sushi is always fresh and beautifully prepared – my personal favorites are the Green Diamond and Shrimp Tempura rolls. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, service is excellent, and the quality is consistently top-notch. A little tip: pair your sushi with a glass of Riesling – it makes the experience even better. Truly a must-visit for sushi lovers in Cologne!

Incredibly delicious sushi made from the freshest fish – highly recommend! The Riesling was also excellent. Everything was served fairly quickly. The interior is decent but feels a bit hastily put together. The restrooms, unfortunately, do not match the standard of the restaurant. You place your order on a tablet, but there’s only one per table, which makes it quite time-consuming for everyone in the group to choose their food. On the downside, the service leaves much to be desired. You pour your own wine – the waitstaff simply bring the bottle. We were celebrating my brother’s birthday and mentioned it when making the reservation, but there was no acknowledgment of the occasion, which slightly dampened the experience.

Exceptional experience. The staff curated a personalized sushi menu for us, selecting each dish with care and expertise. Every course was a delightful surprise, showcasing the chef's creativity and the freshness of the ingredients. The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure that each dish was perfectly suited to our tastes. It’s a must-visit if you find yourself in Köln.
