I have been going to this place for over 5 years, and it used to be one of the best sushi spots in Schweinfurt, but it slowly and surely became embarrassingly bad. The sushi pieces used to be twice as big as they were in the summer of 2026. The last time I ordered the Maguro Volcano sushi, the tuna they used was completely impossible to eat, so I will definitely not be going back.

Unfortunately....its just bad. Weird weird combinations. The sushi was made sloppily and ingredients are not very high quality. Wakame salad was great, avocado salad as well. For the place to be called sushi and have such atrocious sushi quality it's just no good. Hot food was even worse unfortunatly. Lil caramel desert was good, another one...meh. Additional star for flowers, super pretty.

This serving is just amazing!😍 The only negative point is that they don’t have sake, despite having it on the menu.😕

Kai has all manner of marvellous Japanese food options. Their menu combines the heart of Japan and Vietnam including some spanking good Vietnamese dishes like Canh Chua, Mekong Delta and Wild Herb Curry (choose your protein - the one with prawns were Ah-mazing 😍). Presentation is on point, the sushi tower combining Tuna and Salmon Deluxe - superb and splendid. We could not help but oohed and ahhhed at their creation. Gyoza - perfectly crunchy with good texture and tasty fillings, this appetiser had been ordered over and over. Their delicious dishes are available to eat in or takeaway. Reservations: there are only a handful of seats so booking well in advance is highly recommended especially when it comes to chill out weekend. Service: Warm and friendly

Such a beautiful restaurant, the food is good and feels like quality. There is a nice, warm and cozy ambiance. The staff is very friendly. A bit pricier than usual asian restaurant, but not so much, especially for the atmosphere. I would go there again simply to meet with friends, celebrate an occasion or for a romantic date, it's the best looking restaurant in Schweinfurt.
