Walking through Passau feels like a journey across the Alps. The Italian reconstruction after 1662 left the city with a romantic, Mediterranean spirit. When the sky is clear, the bright colors and river views mimic the Mediterranean coast perfectly. It is easily one of the most picturesque 'hidden gems' in Germany.

Walking through Passaus historic center is like stepping back in time. The narrow streets, colorful buildings, and that charming multicolored cobblestone make every corner feel alive. Its easy to get lost here in the best way, discovering small shops, cozy cafes, and hidden squares. The atmosphere is vibrant but still calm, full of character and history. Definitely one of the most charming old towns I have ever seen
