From what I read, I was genuinely worried, but in the end, me and my friend were looking for a really cheap hostel in an interesting location, (especially for art students) and that’s what it came down to. If you’re looking for a place to sleep, take care of your basic amenities, and spend your time out in the city, it’s really fine. The padlocks are indeed paid (a one-time payment of €3 for the whole stay), but after that, it’s genuinely just about not being dumb. Keep your things in your locker…if the bathroom is a mess (it was fine the first day, but after that it was indeed terrible), walk to the reception, where the toilets aren’t key-card locked and where I presume the staff goes, so they generally keep them nicer. Pack your own towel, like in any hostel, plus shower shoes… We got lucky with normal roommates, so that’s always a factor, but that’s just what dorms are lmao.

The reviews underestimate this place. Beds were comfy and linins were included. While it could have been cleaner, what can you expect from a cheap hostel. The bathrooms weren't the cleanest and did flood however the showers were hot with good water pressure, I wore flip-flops personally in showers and bathrooms, which I would recommend. The hostel feels secure, as a young woman, there was keyboard access to the entrance, each floor, bathrooms and the bedroom. However, our lockers did not work so we couldn't lock away our belongings, fortunately I was in an all girls room, so it felt like less of an issue. The location is ideal, less than 5 minutes to a tran station, 10 minutes to a lidl and ample bars, cafes, clubs and restaurants around. This is good as there is no kitchen facilities available in the hostel. Overall, definitely worth the money, we paid around €50 per night for two people, which is very cheap for a capital city.

Worst hostel experience i've ever had. I stayed there for two nights. Disgusting place it's really dirty, the rooms and the bathrooms (there was dust all over the floors of the room and wet substances with hairs sticking to it, every bathroom was disgusting). They have no kitchen, the beds are really low quality they make sounds with every movement. The people who worked at reception were nice, only redeeming quality. I stayed at the heart of gold after those two days and it was better

This was by far the worst and dirtiest hostel I have ever stayed in. First of all, the area around the hostel felt very unsafe, with many drug users nearby. Secondly, there was only one receptionist, so everyone had to wait for hours to check in or get assistance, and the service was extremely slow. Thirdly, the hostel was not clean at all. The shared areas, including the bathrooms, toilets, and showers, were very dirty, dusty, and even had insects. There were also almost no basic facilities available. Even simple essentials such as a hairdryer, cups, spoons, or other basic kitchen items were missing. Fourthly, there was no clear information provided about the check-out process. The guests were also very noisy, making it impossible to relax or feel comfortable. The room was incredibly small, almost like a box. I absolutely do not recommend this hostel to anyone. It was a very disappointing experience.
